This FACT indicates the percentage of population living in beach council areas within 25km of the CBD. Beach council areas are defined as local constituencies that directly border a beach. Using 2016 census data, the population of people living in the beach council areas was divided by the entire population. The city with the highest percentage of people living in beach council areas is Darwin with 9.31 percent. The city with the lowest is Brisbane, with 0.3 percent
