About
This FACT indicates the number of volunteer firefighters per population in each Australian state. Australia has a long history of bushfires, with frequent occurances each year along its hot and dry landscape. While many native flora are dependent on the regenerative nature of bushfires, there are tendencies for the spread to affect highly populated areas resided by the Australian people. It is in these cases that volunteer firefighters are required to assist in quelling the spread of such deadly blazes.
