The data has been taken from the median of the of the average price range. The data is only taken from each city’s highest ranked university. The city with its top university’s tuition fees costing the lowest is Hobart with A$5,000. The most expensive is Sydney, at A$35,000.
Interestingly enough, the numbers do vary considerably between domestic and international students. This could be due to a number of different reasons, such as the different kinds of courses taken by the two groups. Hobart is particularly interesting in this aspect, as international students have average annual undergraduate fees of $19,000, a huge difference! On the other hand, international students in Sydney pay less than their domestic counterpart.
