About
This FACT indicates the total percentage of households that have internet connection in each Australian state/territory from the year 2014 to 2015. While connectivity is one of the principal drivers of city productivity, it does not relate solely to transport and movement systems: widespread internet connections allow the economic and educational growth and development of a city and its inhabitants. Households in Australia's major cities - unsurprisingly - have better access to the internet than the rest of Australia. ACT has the highest percentage of households with internet connections, at 89.9 percent. The city with the lowest is Tasmania, at 78 percent, followed closely by Northern Territory, at 79 percent.
