Although centred around the Brisbane River, Brisbane takes the beach very seriously, and has created a city beach on the river's south bank... now a buzzing CBD precinct of the same name. Brisbane has a robust economy, and is one of Australia's fastest growing cities. Unofficially referred to as 'Brisvegas', it is home to several casinos, and refers to the carefree, fun-loving lifestyle its residents enjoy.
