This FACT indicates the total amount of waste that was recovered/reprocessed by either landfill or businesses per capita in each Australian state and territory, between the years 2009 to 2010. The data is represented in tonnes. The state with the highest amount of waste recycled was the Northern Territory, at 6 tonnes per person. The state with the lowest amount of waste recycled was Western Australia, at 0.52 tonnes per person.
