The types of research sorted into 4 fundamental categories; pure basic research, strategic based research, applied research and experimental research. These four categories make up the entire funding for research purposes. The universities of Victoria invested the largest proportion of their money into research at 247,930.4 dollars. Darwin universities had the least amount spent on research at 75,434 dollars.
