There are usually strong positive correlations between economic prosperity and population growth, as people tend to move to where the work is. This fact considers data from 2006 and 2011. Statistics show that Brisbane has experienced the highest population growth in recent years, at 11.5 percent. Hobart, unsurprisingly, had the slowest population growth, at 5 percent.
